Why we Love Video Cameras!
Simply put, a video camera is a recording device that's capable of acquiring and delivering moving images to in full-motion video format. It converts these moving images into a series of horizontal lines, which are further broken down into continuously varying pixels for display. Ok, that's enough of the techie stuff out of the way.
Since the introduction of digital technology, video cameras have improved in image quality like never seen before. This is not just great for recording family and friends on candid camera or at functions and events, but it has also meant a huge improvement in digital home security and this can only add to the overall deterrent for wannabe burglars or vandals.
The video cameras of today are being used for a whole range of reasons. Not only are we restricted to security surveillance and home movies, but video cameras are also being used to create streaming video for websites. Either web cams or digital cameras can be used to capture video imaging for use online and the technology just keeps getting better all the time. By that I mean improved image quality and faster download times (smaller files).
Just as we continuously get higher speed connections to the Internet we get improved cameras providing clear images too. The days of the grainy delayed online video presentations are becoming a thing of the past. Along with miniaturization also comes the high quality hidden video Cameras that act as stealth devices. These secret cameras are used to record activities in public places, offices and even homes.
Now that it's easy to hide miniature cameras yet still retain good image quality, there's quite a big increase in these hidden video cameras being used in offices and shop floors to supervise employees. Although most employers say that these cameras are for security purposes only, the reality is they have cameras where there are no real security risks, and it is these which are being used by the management to solely to spy on the workforce. Most of you will be totally unaware that this is going on, but we do live in the age now where Big Brother is definitely watching over us with these new breed of spy cameras.
Video cameras have brought a lot of joy and security into our lives and they will only continue to get better, cheaper and more widely used by budding enthusiast, families, video vigilantes, local governments, employers, and law enforcement agencies.
